July 1-4: Boston Harborfest – no one does Independence Day festivities like Boston! There are tons of fun activities going on outdoors primarily in Downtown Crossing and Christopher Columbus Park. Make sure to stop by the Beer Garden – Democracy Brewing & Distraction Brewing on Summer Street Plaza and check out Chowderfest on July 2 from 2-4pm at Downtown Crossing
July 13: Cape Cod Dog Center Fest from 11-3pm, cool off with a doggie pool party, pup cup ice cream station benefiting rescue dogs, and dog contests (Mashpee)
July 13: Cho Dêm, Boston Little Saigon Night Market Street Festival, in Fields Corner, Dorchester, 4-9:30pm
July 14: Dog Days of Summer Adoption Event from 11am–2pm at SoWa Open Market – come meet adoptable dogs and shop!
Sundays starting July 16 – Aug 20: free outdoor Summer Sunday Movies at Christopher Columbus Park in Boston’s North End, movies start at sundown (9:30pm-ish)
July 16 – Aug 4: Shakespeare on the Common – The Winter’s Tale – free Tuesdays through Sundays starting at 8pm. Grab a blanket, bring some snacks, and let the pups run their hearts out in one of the off-leash areas in Boston Common beforehand
Sundays: Open Newbury Street – Newbury Street is car-free from 10am-8pm
Yappy Hours (because we love being around other dog people):
- July 11: Barkamore – Yappy Hour at Baramor (Newton)
- July 30: Yappy Hour 6-9pm Dorchester Brewing (Dorchester)
- July 31: Yappy Hour 5-8pm The Anchor (Charlestown)
- Wednesdays: Yappy Hours at 75 on Liberty Wharf – even offers a special dog menu (Boston)
- Wednesdays: The Yard at the Liberty Hotel – expansive fenced in yard with food and drink options (Boston)
- Saturdays: Brunch at Rivalry Sports Lounge & Kitchen (Salem)
